2007 Bianchi Milano

Click for a larger photo of the Milano

This bike has a kick stand! Throw in some fenders color matched in the über-present Bianchi blue plus leather hand grips, and you have the Bianchi Milano - A retro experience par excellence.

Clearly this bike is for people who want to enjoy an uncomplicated two wheeled transport existence. And armed with a camera, we would dearly love to witness its' entry into a B-grade road race event mounted by a very capable rider.

Bianchi say:

“Milano’s swoopy aluminum frame and low-maintenance derailleur-free shifting are as distinctive as ever, and what the bike represents —the idea that functional design can make a bold impression — is particularly resonant in the era of 3-buck gasoline.”

When Retro is Right, Bianchi's have style in spades with the Milano. Rolling on 1.5" tires it's no slouch, either, thanks to integral 8-speed gearing in the rear hub.

“The Bianchi Milano can make an excellent road/commuter bike. I needed more speed for racing my buddies. Added dual chainrings up front (hidden by chainguard), 16 tooth suntour cog in rear. Road bars, grip shift. What a bike! Suntour front shifter, Campagnolo C Record rear shifter (locked out) for chain tension. With chainguard, fenders, kick stand, I just smile when I beat my buddies up a hill. ”
